Your Journey Starts Here
ADHD in women often goes unnoticed for years — masked by perfectionism, overachievement, or constant self-criticism. Many women come to therapy feeling “lazy,” “too sensitive,” or “never enough.”
I was diagnosed with ADHD at 35, after years of burnout and self-doubt. Understanding my brain changed everything — and inspired me to help other women find the same clarity and self-compassion.
At Female Focused Therapy, I specialize in supporting women with ADHD to build emotional regulation, confidence, and structure — without losing their creativity or intuition.
Like many women, my ADHD diagnosis came later in life. I spent years feeling overwhelmed, struggling with focus, and wondering why things that seemed easy for others felt impossible for me. Society often overlooks ADHD in women, labeling struggles as personality quirks rather than recognizing the signs of neurodivergence. Receiving my diagnosis was both a relief and a challenge. It validated my experiences but also forced me to reframe how I saw myself. Through therapy, mindfulness, and structured support, I learned to harness my strengths, develop coping mechanisms, and ultimately thrive. This journey led me to create Female Focused Therapy—a safe space for women navigating the complexities of ADHD.
Together, we’ll explore how ADHD shows up in your life — not just in focus or productivity, but in relationships, emotions, and self-worth.
Common focus areas include:
- Emotional regulation & overwhelm — learning to pause before spiraling.
- Self-esteem & shame recovery — quieting the inner critic and embracing neurodiversity.
- Time, focus & executive function — gentle strategies that work for your brain.
- Boundaries & relationships — navigating connection without guilt or burnout.
- Mind-body reconnection — managing stress, rest, and nervous system balance.
You don’t have to “fix” yourself — just understand yourself differently.
